Opera credits include Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Euridice and Amor in Orfeo ed Euridice. Recent performances include the debut of The Nurses at Vung Tau, where she played the role of Patty, and first soprano in Spirit Orphan with Brisbane Music Festival.

She is also the co-founder of contemporary experimental folk duo Blue Stockings, and loves using the project as a way to explore deep-cuts, create unique takes on familiar songs, and compose original music that toes the lines of genre. Upcoming engagements with the project and Brisbane Music Festival explore original works incorporating effects pedals and extended techniques, and American composer David Leisner’s song cycle for guitar and voice, Confiding. With a diverse range in vocal stylings, she also has performed and toured with renowned crossover troupe The Seven Sopranos, "Australia's most beautiful voices" since 2021, as well as managing and fronting alternative-rock outfit, Sali Eri.

Annika graduated with Distinction from her Master of Music Studies in Vocal Pedagogy at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2021, in addition to her Graduate Diploma of Opera and Bachelor of Music in Advanced Performance from the same institution. She served as a chorister, cantor, and teacher at Brisbane’s Cathedral of St Stephen throughout her studies which culminated in her fulltime appointment as the Cathedral’s Assistant Director of Music in 2020. Annika left the position in 2022 to pursue her growing performance commitments, and continues to have regular concert and oratorio engagements with favourites including Orff’s Carmina Burana, Handel’s Messiah, and Faure’s Requiem. In 2024, Annika will sing three roles with Voxalis Opera for their new season: both the Dew Fairy and Sandman in Humperdinck’s ‘Hansel and Gretel’, as well as the role of Pleasure (Piacere) in a staged production of Handel’s rarely-performed work ‘The Triumph of Time and Truth’.
